International Women’s Day came and went, but taking advantage of the opportunities it celebrates had me so tied up, I forgot. There were years when being a woman was a limitation. In 2018, that is changing and I’m so glad to be part of the shift.

There’s a special kind of heartbreak when you realize that no matter how much you love someone, they aren’t right for you any more. It’s not them, it’s not you. Things have changed and the only thing to do is move on. But it doesn’t have to be “goodbye.”
I’m the type to hold onto the good parts. With bookkeeping software, the best bits are the ones that work well, cheaply. Keeping it simple and cheap is the name of the game.
Our needs for privacy have changed in the last 6 years, and the speed of technology means laws need to be updated. What about childcare? Has technology changed anything about it?
We need an attitude adjustment in our industry if we’re going to have parents and politicians respect us as professionals. First off, please, we have to stop calling them “Mom,” and “Dad.”
